Let me ask you a question – what business are you in?
It’s an interesting question that I often ask my coaching clients. In fact just the other day I was doing some internet marketing coaching in an informal skype chat. I asked my online friend how they were. They told me ok, but like so many were struggling a little financially.
My friend works online. I say he works, not necessarily makes money, but works. So I asked him what business was he in, who were his customers and exactly what he was selling.
As I expected the answer was a bit of humming and hawing, a bit of silence and then a barrage of words. I make products for people who want to buy them. I am an information marketer, I am a software developer.
